Laughing as the Waves come Rolling to my Knees

This task was a particular challenge as I have very little experience with 3D software. However, with a few hours of fiddling and help from tutors, I was able to scan my own head, alter it in blendr and then print a bust of myself that had waves crashing from my shoulders and swirling detailing in my neck and face.

My hair came out surprisingly well considering it's natural intricacy

Although this process was highly frustrating, the end result is highly pleasing in its detail.

This is absolutely a process I could use to design particularly detailed sections of sculptures.

I often use wooden carving as a sculptural process; 3D printing could definitely work in harmony as a modern process.
